My Differin Gel Journey! Episode 2: The One Where I Tell You About My Obsession

Okay, y'all. I know I posted just a few days ago about starting this journey, but I wanted to share an update with you!

But first!....
It's Fall! Football! PSL! And my absolute favorite part of fall.... HOODIE SEASON! Yaaas! Finally, I can rock my collection of hoodies without getting weird looks. Yes, it was 110* outside. Yes, I was a little warm any time I wore it outside.... okay, I was a lottle warm. Okay it was sweltering. The only time I could wear my hoodies was when we turned the AC down a little in the house, or I went to my best friend Ally's house. But now! Now I can wear them ALL THE TIIIIME! Sorta. It's still in the 90's here, but the temps are coming down!

Why am I telling you about this? Because I can! And because it'll be fun at the end of my Differin Gel journey to see how many different hoodies I wore over the weeks! There may even be a drawing, so pay attention 😁

And now... the real reason we're all here! DIFFERIN! Yas!

My original photo was taken October 4th, 2017. I'd been using Differin Gel for about 3 days. I wasn't seeing any changes, but I am also aware miracles don't always happen over night. If you have no idea what I am talking about.... back out of this entry, go back to Episode One. Read. Come back. Continue!

Well now here's my 1 week update! I'm noticing less acne, and the discoloration on my face is subsiding. I know the discoloration isn't what the medication is for, but I'm starting to wonder if a lot of the discoloration was caused by my acne? I think it's time for an appointment with the dermatologist again!

In the mean time, check out this fresh face!

Advil Menstrual Pain Tablets Review

When I first received my free sample of Advil Menstrual Pain Tablets from Smiley360 I was excited. I was  looking forward to trying a new way to end some of my period woes. The first thing I noticed was the packaging. It is definitely geared towards women (obviously), with it's pink/purple additions to the usual Advil label. I flipped over the box to check out it's active ingredients. I was a little disappointed at this point. The only active ingredients in this product are ibuprofin, and ibuprofin sodium. While these products are great for inflammation (aka a big part of cramps), I wasn't impressed with the fact that it was the only active ingredients. However, I'm not one to judge a book by it's cover, so I gave it a go! My first day is always the worst day. It can be debilitating. I started my morning with 1 Advil Menstrual Pain tablet, and after four hours I took another. While it helped a little with my cramps, it did nothing for my bloating or fatigue. ...

When You Want Some Easy Comfort Food...

Imagine, it's Sunday morning. Last week was rough, and you could use a simple dinner idea that everyone will love. Queue Chile Verde. It's simple, and delicious. And my recipe isn't necessarily the traditional way to make it, but amazing nonetheless! Here's what you'll need: 2 lb. pork loin roast, cut into 1 1/2 inch cubes 1 - 16oz. jar salsa verde (we used Pace, but you can use any brand you trust!) 1 - 7oz. can diced green chiles (we used store brand for this one) 3 lg. red potatoes, cut into 1 inch cubes (Russets also work well with this meal, so use what you have or looks good at the store this week!) 1 tbsp. minced garlic (if you want to mince it yourself, it's about 3 cloves fresh garlic) 1/4 tsp. ground cumin 1 tsp. dried oregano 1/2 tsp. garlic powder Salt & Pepper, to taste Steps! (Some of which have photos!) Wash and cube your potatoes. You want each piece to be about 1 to 1 1/2 inches. Toss 'em in the crock pot. I...

What's On YOUR Dinner Menu This Weekend?!

Y'all, earlier this week I whipped up a super simple, SUPER delicious dinner. I couldn't in good conscience not share the recipe with you! Granted, it's pretty basic, but that's what makes easy dinners so great, isn't it? Tastes great, easy to throw together, and if you're crazy like I am the kids can even help a little! So I present to you: Green Chile Chicken Enchilada Casserole! See here: The Before Here's what you'll need: 2 lg. boneless, skinless chicken breast 1 - 28 oz. can Green Chile Enchilada Sauce (we used La Victoria brand, but use your favorite! If you don't have a favorite, might I recommend La Victoria?!) 16 to 18 - 6 inch white corn tortillas (or yellow, if that's your preference!) 1 - 7oz. can diced green chiles (any brand will do, personally we used the store brand!) 2 c. Mexican or Fiesta Blend shredded cheese (we like Kirkland Mexican Blend, but you do you, boo!) 1/2 tbsp. garlic salt 1/2 tbsp. onion powd...
