Culturelle ProWell Probiotics

Hey Hey!!! So first off I want to start off by saying sorry for the random radio silence last week. I got pretty sick early in the week, but trudged on. By Thursday I was feeling better, but had a ton of things around the house to catch up on, and social engagements I had already committed to attend. Unfortunately that meant doing things like this blog, and running my Facebook Page had to take a temporary back seat. But I'm back! I'm not 100% better, but I'm back! And I have something cool to share with y'all! Sometimes when I do these reviews, I post reviews on the product's actual website! I like to let the companies know when they do an awesome job, or when their product gets an A+ in my book! Here's the review I sent to Culturelle regarding their Pro-Well Probiotic capsules! No, seriously.... an actual screen shot of the review I left on Culturelle's website! And now you know how I feel about Culturelle Pro-Well Probi...

When You Want Some Easy Comfort Food...

Imagine, it's Sunday morning. Last week was rough, and you could use a simple dinner idea that everyone will love. Queue Chile Verde. It's simple, and delicious. And my recipe isn't necessarily the traditional way to make it, but amazing nonetheless! Here's what you'll need: 2 lb. pork loin roast, cut into 1 1/2 inch cubes 1 - 16oz. jar salsa verde (we used Pace, but you can use any brand you trust!) 1 - 7oz. can diced green chiles (we used store brand for this one) 3 lg. red potatoes, cut into 1 inch cubes (Russets also work well with this meal, so use what you have or looks good at the store this week!) 1 tbsp. minced garlic (if you want to mince it yourself, it's about 3 cloves fresh garlic) 1/4 tsp. ground cumin 1 tsp. dried oregano 1/2 tsp. garlic powder Salt & Pepper, to taste Steps! (Some of which have photos!) Wash and cube your potatoes. You want each piece to be about 1 to 1 1/2 inches. Toss 'em in the crock pot. I...

Eclipse Sun Sleeve's Get an A+ From Me!

Y'all. I did something a little crazy. Well, crazy for * me * anyway. I signed up for a virtual 5K. I've never done a 5K in my life! I've barely prepped! I mean, I actually have to get up and move for this thing ! I can't just sit in my car and drive around the park..... like I kind of want to! No, no! I need to get ready! Water bottle? I have one! Body physically ready for the onslaught of fast paced movement? Um.... well.... working on it, sorta.... Sunscreen? Sunscreen? Y'all we have a runner! No, seriously. That stuff just runs right off me! I use a higher SPF facial moisturizer, wear a hat, and sunglasses. I rarely burn on my face because of this. My arms, however. They are beacons of lobsteresque hope killers. I can apply 18 layers of the store's strongest sunscreen, and that sh*t will melt right off me in less than an hour! And it's not like a sweat a lot, tbh I probably don't sweat enough! My skin just repels it, and I've never understood...

What's On YOUR Dinner Menu This Weekend?!

Y'all, earlier this week I whipped up a super simple, SUPER delicious dinner. I couldn't in good conscience not share the recipe with you! Granted, it's pretty basic, but that's what makes easy dinners so great, isn't it? Tastes great, easy to throw together, and if you're crazy like I am the kids can even help a little! So I present to you: Green Chile Chicken Enchilada Casserole! See here: The Before Here's what you'll need: 2 lg. boneless, skinless chicken breast 1 - 28 oz. can Green Chile Enchilada Sauce (we used La Victoria brand, but use your favorite! If you don't have a favorite, might I recommend La Victoria?!) 16 to 18 - 6 inch white corn tortillas (or yellow, if that's your preference!) 1 - 7oz. can diced green chiles (any brand will do, personally we used the store brand!) 2 c. Mexican or Fiesta Blend shredded cheese (we like Kirkland Mexican Blend, but you do you, boo!) 1/2 tbsp. garlic salt 1/2 tbsp. onion powd...

My Differin Gel Journey! Episode 2: The One Where I Tell You About My Obsession

Okay, y'all. I know I posted just a few days ago about starting this journey, but I wanted to share an update with you! But first!.... It's Fall! Football! PSL! And my absolute favorite part of fall.... HOODIE SEASON! Yaaas! Finally, I can rock my collection of hoodies without getting weird looks. Yes, it was 110* outside. Yes, I was a little warm any time I wore it outside.... okay, I was a lottle warm. Okay it was sweltering. The only time I could wear my hoodies was when we turned the AC down a little in the house, or I went to my best friend Ally's house. But now! Now I can wear them ALL THE TIIIIME! Sorta. It's still in the 90's here, but the temps are coming down! Why am I telling you about this? Because I can! And because it'll be fun at the end of my Differin Gel journey to see how many different hoodies I wore over the weeks! There may even be a drawing, so pay attention 😁 And now... the real reason we're all here! DIFFERIN! Yas! My orig...

My Differin Gel Journey! Episode 1: The One Where I Draw Green Circles on My Face

Smiley360 hooked me up again, y'all. I'm starting this hopefully great acne treatment gel called Differin Gel . I'd never heard of it until Smiley 360 introduced me to the brand, and sent me a free trial of it! Me. October 4, 2017 Note: Green circles indicate my problem areas! I am still incredibly early in my Differin Gel journey, but my excitement is palpable! I have dealt with acne my entire life, and have had the same problem areas the entire time. I've tried everything but prescription acne medications with no real results. I am looking forward to trying out Differin Gel, and I am hopeful I'll see great results! It will also be great to know I can use a product line that works and is AFFORDABLE! I've spent hundreds of dollars on things that only masked the issues, or covered them up. It would be great to feel confident with a fresh face! Keep up with me and my Differin Gel journey here, on Twitter, and as always my Facebook Page: Geekstress Kno...

Guess Who's Back... Back Again... Geek Is Back... Tell a Friend. No, seriously... tell everyone!

Y'all, I got to take a pretty insane vacation last week! One of my best friends and I embarked on a 30-effing-hour drive from Las Vegas to Biloxi, Mississippi to visit another best friend of ours (think of us as The Trio of Unending Shenanigans!) The Trio had a blast! Vietnamese food, good ol' fashioned southern BBQ, BOBA! Can you tell food played an important part in this trip?! We also went to the beach. The Gulf of Mexico is just as beautiful as I remembered it! Yeh, sure... when you're on the shoreline and there are barrier islands 2 miles out the water is murky.... but you get away from those barrier islands, and the water is this GORGEOUS pristine blue. Oh, y'all.... I'm pining to go back already! But then.... The 30-hellish-hour drive home. My company was phenomenal, the conversations was lively AF! We may even create a YouTube channel dedicated to the stupidly hilarious things that were coming out of our sleep deprived minds! And the dread. I wa...
